The Cayman is an iconic Porsche offering that exemplifies modernity, renowned performance and superior technology. The 2019 edition is available in two models, the 718 Cayman which is capable of a top speed of 170 mph and a max 300 horsepower to take you 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds, and the 718 Cayman S, that capable of a top speed of 177 mph, a max horsepower of 350 and can take you 0-60 mph in a breathtaking 4.4 seconds flat. The Cayman also comes with some great sound, technology, connectivity and customized technology. Retro Design with Sporty Accents
The all-new 2019 Cayman incorporates legacy styling retaining features from the original generation and blending them innovatively with modern age design and addition of sporty accents to give you a timeless masterpiece with mesmerizing looks. The Cayman comes in a wide array of metallic, standard and special colors and can even has two custom color tones totaling to 16 different shades. There’s also a wide choice of wheels with 18-inch Cayman wheels coming standard. These can be customized as well using various wheel accessories and available paint jobs. Lighting in front is entirely Bi-Xenon and the enclosures incorporate LED Daytime Running Lights. This can be upgraded to the Porsche Dynamic Lighting System with LED lighting for better safety and lighting. The sides are sculpted creating contours that guide the air into the side intakes for better dynamics. The side mirrors get a v-shaped base on the side mirrors. The rear is styled with the right amount of minimalism, featuring slim LED lighting with four LED brake spotlights enclosed in the rear light units that are horizontally aligned. The rear ends with an extendible spoiler that works at certain speeds.
Sporty and Refined Interiors
Interiors of the all-new Porsche Cayman are just as refined and sporty as expected with 2-way sport seats as standard.You have availability of 14-way power sport seats and adaptive 18-way Sport Plus seats with memory. Every level and control within the Cayman is extremely accessible and intuitive to use that demonstrates Porsches in-depth understanding of sport car cockpit design where you need to focus on the road and at the same time have every function under control. A 3-spoke steering wheel inspired from the Spyder with a smaller diameter gives you a better feel of the sport cockpit. Sound systems on the Cayman are distinctively Bose using the Surround Sound System with 10 speakers and 10 amplifiers or the High-End Surround System that uses 12-amplifier channels.
Motorsport Inspired Performance
Porsche introduces two new engines in the all-new 2019 Porsche Cayman. The tech guys at sports car dealerships we checked out for the Cayman showed us the turbocharged 2.0-liter boxer engine that’s capable of 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and the 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer engine that gives 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque and comes with variable turbine geometry (VTG) that provides evenly distributed and consistent power.
